Digital Impact Expands Into Europe

Digital Impact Inc., San Mateo, CA, this week opened its London unit, marking the Internet direct marketing agency's official leap into the international arena.

Using proprietary technology and its outsourced marketing services, the integrated shop said it can now help overseas-based businesses communicate more effectively with their customers by developing highly focused e-mail marketing campaigns that support clients' overall campaign initiatives.

Ettore Leale, managing director at the Digital Impact London office, said coordinating different systems and languages into the overall direct marketing process was a key area in which the agency expected to see significant growth.

"The addition of Digital Impact's London office will allow us to better serve clients who increasingly request online campaigns that not only cross borders but also combine languages and transcend cultures," Leale said.

William Park, Digital Impact's chairman/CEO, said, "Expansion of our operations into Europe will be key to the advancement of our clients' global e-marketing efforts. And by leveraging our industry reputation and expertise, we'll be making a strong impact in the European market."

Like most integrated marketing agencies, Digital Impact said it would focus on helping develop customer retention, loyalty and acquisition programs. It also said it would provide services for only clients that have a relationship with a recognized privacy seal program. The agency is a member of the Truste privacy program.

Digital Impact clients include Dell Computer Corp., Egghead.com Inc., Hewlett-Packard, Macy's, Mastercard, Preview Travel and Sharper Image.
