Deutsche Post Global Mail USA Streamlines Product Portfolio

International mail services provider Deutsche Post Global Mail USA, Herndon, VA, announced a streamlined product portfolio yesterday consolidating products into three groups: Global Mail Business, Global Mail Publication and Global Mail Parcel.


· Global Mail Business includes business and personal correspondence, statements, subscription notices, catalogs and promotional and direct mail.


· Global Mail Publication covers periodical mail, including magazines, journals, newspapers and newsletters.


· Global Mail Parcel includes packets and parcels of merchandise, goods, gifts and samples.


The new system is "simpler and easier to understand than the collusion of products that have evolved over the years," DPGM spokesman Rainer Hengst said. "We are reducing a large number of different kinds of mail streams to three."


DPGM is the U.S. subsidiary of Deutsche Post World Net, Europe's largest postal company.
