Dentsu acquires Innovative Interactive
Dentsu Holdings USA, a subsidiary of Japanese company Dentsu, has acquired Innovation Interactive, a digital marketing firm. Innovation Interactive operates agencies 360i, a digital firm; SearchIgnite, a search agency; and Netmining, an audience optimization platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Innovation Interactive will continue to run its nine offices and serve clients including GM, Avis, JCPenney and OfficeDepot. Will Margiloff and Bryan Wiener, co-CEOs, will continue to lead the company, reporting to Tim Andree, president and CEO of Dentsu Holdings USA and an executive officer of Dentsu. Innovation Interactive has offices in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Tokyo and Brussels.
No layoffs will occur as a result of the acquisition, according to an Innovation Interactive spokesperson.
The acquisition demonstrates the Dentsu's “determined pursuit of innovation in the digital and global arenas,” Tatsuyoshi Takashima, president and CEO of Dentsu, said in a statement.
Dentsu previously pushed into the US advertising space in 2008 via its acquisition of Chicago agency Mcgarrybowen.
Innovation Interactive referred all calls to Dentsu. Calls to Dentsu seeking comment were not immediately returned.
