Denton Leaving Nonprofit Mailers for Red Cross

Neal Denton will leave the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers for the American Red Cross at the end of the month.

Denton has been with the alliance for 20 years. Ellenor Kirkconnell will serve as acting executive director. Beginning Jan. 30, Denton will be vice president of government affairs at the Red Cross in Washington.

Denton said he is excited about his new role at the Red Cross, especially since his father recently retired from the nonprofit after 30 years of service. Denton said the alliance has a strong board and staff and that members of the postal community "will barely notice a blip" from the change.

Kirkconnell is well known to the postal community as a presenter and speaker for the alliance and to the nonprofit community for her experience in issues important to nonprofit mailers.
