Dell Debuts 3 New Systems

In an effort to meet the high-end computing system needs of its largest corporate and institutional customers, Dell Computer Corp. unveiled its first large-scale data storage system as well as three service programs required to link and maintain corporate networks.


"Our virtual integration strategy and our direct way of doing business means customers no longer have to pay for the proprietary margins some enterprise computing vendors have been charging them," chairman/CEO Michael Dell said in a prepared statement.


Dell, Round Rock, TX, also announced global alliances with service companies Wang Global and Unisys to provide customers with additional support.
