Deal Gives Crate and Barrel Access to Children's Furnishings Market

Crate and Barrel, Northbrook, IL, has formed a strategic partnership with The Land of Nod, Wheeling, IL, a 4-year-old catalog company that specializes in high-quality furniture and accessories for children's rooms.


The partnership will allow Crate and Barrel to enter the children's home-furnishing market and will enable both companies to open stores, expand catalog mailings and relaunch The Land of Nod's Web site, www.landofnod.com.


The two companies will work together on operational issues such as vendor resources, logistics and catalog planning.
