D&B Launches Market Insight

D&B, a provider of global business information, tools and insight, debuted Market Insight, a web-based application that combines a company's marketing database with the records of D&B's global database.

According to Short Hills, NJ-based D&B, Market Insight lets marketers enhance and analyze the information they already hold on customers and prospects by overlaying the data D&B holds on those same customers.

More specifically, the solution can identify a company's most valued customers, pinpoint prospects that look like a company's most profitable customers, identify cross- and up-sell opportunities within a corporate family tree and generate robust prospect lists.

D&B said Market Insight does not require extensive data expertise or IT resources to deploy, but rather, can be downloaded directly from D&B to a laptop or desktop. The application can be accessed through any standard Internet browser.
