D&B Completes Sale of Operations in Nordic Market

D&B, a provider of global business information and technology solutions, said yesterday that it completed the sale of D&B's operations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland to Bonnier Affarsinformation Holding AB.


The sale price was about $42 million.


Bonnier is a leading business information provider in the Nordic market. It offers business information products and services in areas such as direct marketing, financial information and company and credit information through more than 70 subsidiaries in 18 European countries.


Bonnier Business Information had total sales in 2002 of $243 million, of which more than half was generated in the four Nordic countries. The company has 1,487 employees. Bonnier Business Information is a subsidiary of Bonnier AB, a private media company based in Sweden.


Bonnier Business Information will operate the acquired businesses under the D&B name, will distribute D&B-branded products and services in the Nordic market and will invest in the continued improvement of the Nordic market database.
