NextMark offering video in data cards

Marketing services provider NextMark has added a video option to its data cards to enable list managers to provide more in-depth information about a particular list not available in traditional data cards.

Previously, a list broker would visit the buyer in person, which might be costly and may not prove to have a positive impact on ROI, explained Chris DeMartine, director of business development at NextMark.

“Videos can better clarify demographics of a data card or explain why a list may work better for one type of company versus another,” DeMartine said. “It's also a way to reach list buyers in a more personalized way.”

List owners can create their videos in house and upload them to YouTube, and then embed the HTML code into the data card.

Videos can be up to five minutes long, but DeMartine said ideally they would run about 30 seconds.

This option is free and is available to any list in NextMark's database of more than 60,000 data cards representing postal and e-mail lists.

RMI Direct Marketing and Millard Group are among the first companies to begin using the technology.
