States consider Google data collection probe

Facebook isn't the only tech company facing consumer data privacy complaints. More than half of the states are considering pooling resources to investigate whether Google illegally collected consumers' info from unsecured wireless networks, according to reports.

Privacy concerns about data on Facebook haven't scared away multichannel retailers, however, who continue to launch e-commerce portals on the social networking website. Stay tuned on whether concerns about Google's data collection methods have an effect on its business partners.
