Service Net to Provide Warranty, After-Market Sales for Maytag

Service Net Inc. yesterday agreed to manage the extended warranty, service contract and after-market sales programs for Maytag Corp., an appliance manufacturer based in Newton, IA.


Service Net, Louisville, KY, said its database management software would facilitate cross-selling opportunities for Maytag, which previously managed its own after-market sales programs. Service Net will manage the after-market efforts -- in which customers who purchased Maytag products are targeted with direct marketing offers for additional products -- through its relationship with Accent Marketing, also of Louisville.


As part of its management of Maytag's warranty and service contract programs, Service Net will manage service contract marketing and will provide underwriting, claims processing, service dispatch and customer telephone support for Maytag service contract customers.
