Saturn to Promote New SUV

Direct mail will be the first step General Motors Corp.'s Saturn division takes in a yearlong marketing effort to raise awareness about its new sport utility vehicle that will be available in fall of 2001.

An effort began this month at to gather addresses from consumers interested in learning about the new, as yet unnamed SUV.

Those who give permission will receive postcards.

Other future efforts will likely include brochures, print, television and Internet marketing.
