Pro Tech Gains Dermastat Outbound Calling Contract
The campaign will involve outbound calls to prospects who have expressed an interest in Dermastat nonprescription products, including the Tru-Derm skin cream, a treatment for scars being targeted to diabetics and burn victims. Outbound telemarketing will account for about 80 percent of the call volume generated by the campaign, said Richard Hennessey, president of Pro Tech.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Pro Tech's call center will have medical professionals on hand to talk to consumers about Dermastat products, Hennessey said. The call center, which has a work force of 16, is focused on serving the medical industry and is staffed by telephone representatives with medical backgrounds.
Pro Tech, Fort Pierce, FL, has been in business since 1995 and until recently has been involved primarily in the manufacture and marketing of headset and amplifier equipment for call centers, as well as providing phone integration services. It launched its teleservices unit in the spring.
While he declined to disclose anticipated call volumes for the campaign, Hennessey said the capacity of the call center's small staff would be pushed to the maximum by the new contract. Pro Tech can expand the call center as required by future new contracts and contract expansions.
Established in 1998, Dermastat Pharmaceuticals, Pittsburgh, makes wound-care products as well as equipment and supplies for the treatment of incontinence. The company has 107 retail pharmacies.
