PeopleSoft Debuts Next-Generation CRM Solution

PeopleSoft Inc., an e-business software vendor, yesterday debuted PeopleSoft 8 Customer Relationship Management, a CRM solution that enables universal access from any Web device, embedded analytics, and seamless integration of enterprise data and business processes.


"We completely re-architected our existing CRM applications to create a ... CRM solution based entirely on pure Internet architecture," said Craig Conway, president/CEO of PeopleSoft, Pleasanton, CA.


Some companies have already signed up for the solution, which they say offers true enterprise collaboration through integration of business processes between applications inside and outside enterprise boundaries.


"PeopleSoft has developed a flexible, Web-enabled, integrated CRM solution that global companies like FedEx require," said Rob Carter, executive vice president and chief information officer at FedEx Corp. "The ability to access information across the enterprise will enable us to more efficiently manage our business requirements and provide a greater level of visibility into our customers needs."


PeopleSoft 8 CRM will be generally available June 29.


Also yesterday, PricewaterhouseCoopers announced that it will add PeopleSoft 8 CRM to its PeopleSoft management consulting solutions for clients worldwide. By using its proprietary methodology and toolkit to implement PeopleSoft 8 CRM, PricewaterhouseCoopers will help companies become collaborative enterprises.
