Omni Hotels selected Intrasight to manage its marketing database and provide customer intelligence, Intrasight said yesterday.

Intrasight said the database will help Omni develop direct mail and e-mail marketing campaigns to past guests and qualified prospects. The Scottsdale, AZ, company specializes in developing and implementing customer acquisition, growth and loyalty programs through database marketing.

Intrasight is retained by companies including Avis, Cold Stone Creamery, Dr Pepper/7-Up, Four Seasons Hotels, six Hawaiian visitors bureaus, Hilton Hotels, Lorillard, Marriott and Sheraton.

Omni Hotels is a privately owned company headquartered in Irving, TX. It operates 40 first-class and luxury hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Omni's central reservation center, located in Omaha, NE, handles 1.7 million calls yearly.

Caryn Kboudi, vice president of marketing for Omni Hotels, said Intrasight would help the company's brand with business travelers and upscale leisure travelers: its two primary markets.
