NCR Introduces Larger ATM Screen

NCR Corp. last week introduced a new model of automated teller machine featuring a bigger screen that aims to transform the ATM channel into more than a traditional cash dispenser.


The Personas 90, which is part of NCR's Self-Service TouchPoints family, is a free-standing drive-up model. It has a larger, flat screen that has double the viewing area of the traditional screen.


According to NCR, Dayton, OH, the Personas 90, along with its APTRA software, can open up new revenue streams for banks and financial institutions through personalization, advertising on the larger screen and other opportunities.


NCR said banks are beginning to look at replacing older-model ATMs with the latest models for enhanced advertising opportunities.
