Metrocall, Alexandria, VA, yesterday announced the launch of an aggressive marketing campaign that will attempt to bring HitMeNow.com's exclusive shopping services to Metrocall's millions of wireless messaging subscribers.

The campaign is also designed to attract new alphanumeric customers by offering advanced devices bundled with HitMeNow.com's offer feeds which will already be programmed into the unit. The service is going to promote the availability of special pricing offers on entertainment fare including sporting event tickets, merchandise and unique travel offers to Metrocall's subscriber base. New customers are also going to be asked to give permission for such marketing by filling out a personal preference profile on HitMeNow.com's Web site after acquiring a messaging device.

Metrocall is going to be marketing the devices, coupled with the availability of such merchandise offers, via its exclusive banner advertising agreement with America Online and other sites such as TVontheWeb.com. In addition, Metrocall is going to be offering alphanumeric messaging devices bundled with the permission marketing concept to new customers at its 127 retail stores located throughout the country.

Other marketing initiatives will include special offers with its one-way messaging services, in-store promotions and billing inserts.
