Metro Direct Contracts With AETN

Marketing Services Group Inc., New York, said its subsidiary Metro Direct has been retained by A&E Television Networks for customer acquisition services. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Metro Direct will prepare AETN subscriber acquisition campaigns for an estimated 50 cable systems encompassing more than 1 million households.


The leads will be processed at Metro's data center in New York. As part of the process, geo-demographic lifestyle coding will be appended to each record, classifying AETN prospect households into specific lifestyle segments. Then, using that information, AETN will be able to select those individuals most likely to respond to its ongoing prospect campaigns for the History Channel, the Biography Channel and History Channel International.
