GSI Adds Omniture Analytics
The deal provides GSI's e-commerce business partners with an analytics and reporting system to measure their customers' online shopping behavior. GSI runs e-commerce sites for brands in the apparel, health and beauty, consumer electronics, home, entertainment, jewelry and sporting goods markets.
Based on Omniture's SiteCatalyst 12 tool, the analytics include metrics associated with traffic, user segmentation and e-commerce conversion.
Separately, Omniture rival WebTrends formed a technology partnership with online content management provider Hot Banana. The deal integrates the WebTrends 7 tool into the Hot Banana Active Marketing Web Content Management Suite for easy access to both Web analytics and content management. Also, Hot Banana automated the process of placing WebTrends SmartSource tags on Web pages to minimize hand-coded errors.
