Critical Path Creates Hosted Messaging for National City
Called EzDealer.Net, the service offers National City branded, Web-based e-mail that can distribute company information to its network of more than 4,000 dealers in 10 states. The service lets National City communicate with its dealers and easily distribute items such as rate sheets, training materials and bulletins.
National City, Cleveland, also will use the service to bolster communication with its dealers by providing regular updates on program changes and rates.
"Outsourcing our messaging needs to Critical Path has saved us valuable IT resources and lowered our operational risk by leveraging the proven technological expertise, always-on reliability and security Critical Path delivers," said Mark Dubis, vice president of National City's dealer finance unit.
The service also is used by the bank holding company's dealers to communicate with their own customers. The company said that before implementing EzDealer.Net, its dealers communicated with their customers through their personal e-mail accounts. The company said that this was not secure enough and lacked the reliability for mission-critical financial communications.
"The bottom line is that we have achieved an effective streamlining in the communication process with our dealers," Dubis said.
