Blockbuster Gets Acxiom CRM Solution

Acxiom Corp. has implemented a customer relationship management solution for Blockbuster Inc., Dallas, the company said yesterday.


The solution consists of a customer marketing database that consolidates data from multiple sources and resides on an IBM server at Acxiom's data center facilities. It provides comprehensive customer data and allows flexibility in creating, tracking and analyzing direct marketing programs.


Acxiom, Little Rock, AR, said that along with using the solution for improved interactions with customers, Blockbuster gains the advantage of analytic and data mining support as well as an environment for the marketing team to conduct faster marketing communications.
