Best Buy Selects WebSideStory for Web Analytics

Best Buy Co. Inc. selected Web analytics services provider WebSideStory as a strategic service provider for its online marketing and merchandising efforts, San Diego-based WebSideStory announced yesterday.


Best Buy, a retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and appliances, is using WebSideStory's outsourced e-commerce analysis service, HitBox Commerce, on BestBuy.com.


HitBox Commerce combines clickstream analysis with purchasing activity to unveil actionable shopping patterns and trends in real time. HitBox Commerce provides reports on which products, brands and categories are selling at any particular time; analysis of online and offline marketing campaigns; product cross-sell opportunities; and product, cart and checkout conversion analysis.
