Airtel, a communications service provider in India, has integrated Oracle Communications data management software into its business operations.

Tools for both order and service management and inventory management will join a suite of Oracle products previously implemented by Airtel. The communications company has implemented Oracle financial and CRM products in the past, and is already using the order, service and inventory management tools for its optical/synchronous digital hierarchy services.

Airtel, led by IBM, implemented the Oracle products in an effort to streamline business operations, which are in a growth stage. Bhaskar Gorti, SVP and GM of Oracle, says that Airtel is enjoying an annual growth rate of 100%.

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management will guide Airtel's service fulfillment process, which includes installing equipment and activating billing. The Oracle program will also help to synch engineering and operations processes.

Inventory Management by Oracle will track equipment, network locations and addresses. Airtel will also use Inventory Management for customer service and network technology support.

Based in Redwood Shores, CA, Oracle is the world's largest enterprise software company. The company has more than 19,500 partners worldwide.

Airtel, located in New Delhi, India, is a holding of telecommunications company Bharti Airtel Limited. The flagship company of Bharti Enterprises, Bharti Airtel is India's largest integrated telecom services provider.
