Critical Path Providing French Postal Service with E-Mail Service

Critical Path Inc. said that it is providing La Poste, France's national postal service, the technology for its new e-mail service.


The company, a provider of e-mail messaging technology and services, said it signed a contract with the French postal service in December. Critical Path did not reveal financial terms of the deal.


Critical Path said that La Poste will use its InScribe Messaging Server and provide free e-mail addresses. InScribe is intended for use by Internet service providers and large corporations, and offers support for Web-based e-mail.


La Poste joins the national postal services of Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary, Australia and Ireland as clients of Critical Path.
