Convergys Wins 2 Contracts With AT&T Broadband

Convergys Corp. announced two new contracts yesterday to perform customer-care teleservices for Internet service provider AT&T Broadband.

Financial details of the contracts were not released. Convergys said it would provide telephony support for AT&T Broadband and technical support via telephone, e-mail and Web chat for AT&T Broadband customers.

More than 2,600 Convergys employees in five locations in the United States and Canada will be used for the AT&T Broadband contracts. Convergys began its relationship with AT&T Broadband in January, when it started providing billing-support services for the ISP.

AT&T Broadband, Denver, serves about 16 million subscribers. Convergys employs 45,000 people and operates more than 50 customer contact centers worldwide.
