Convergys to Provide Outsourced Customer Care for HP
Convergys Corp., Cincinnati, said yesterday that it would provide Web-based sales and service support for hpshopping.com, the e-commerce site of computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co., Palo Alto, CA. Convergys will supply its CybeResponse suite of Internet-based technologies, which include collaborative Internet browsing, Internet text chat and Web-callback. These will augment the existing customer services HP provides for its e-commerce site.The terms of the contract were not disclosed.And, Convergys, which operates 36 call centers in North America and Europe, provides outsourced customer care and billing services from 20,000 Web-enabled workstations and more than 40,000 toll-free telephone lines.
