Convergys Renews Contract With Schering Laboratories

Teleservices provider Convergys Corp. yesterday said that it has renewed a contract to provide telephone customer support for pharmaceutical developer Schering Laboratories.


Financial details of the renewal were not disclosed.


Convergys has been under contract with Schering since 1998.


Convergys is handling inbound telephone customer service and direct mail inquiries in Spanish and English for Schering. The teleservices firm is also providing interactive voice response systems and a special inbound allergy information hotline for consumers.


Cincinnati-based Convergys employs more than 45,000 and operates 50 customer contact centers worldwide. Schering Laboratories markets the prescription allergy medications Claritin and Nasonex.
