Consignia Picks ATG Dynamo to Develop Portal

Art Technology Group Inc. said that Consignia has chosen the ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform to develop a new transactional portal.


According to Consignia, the portal, due to open later this year, will help the company build and integrate its online resources, providing greater functionality and customer-centricity to millions of users in the United Kingdom.


For example, Cambridge, MA-based ATG will allow Consignia to respond to the needs of consumer and business customers through an online billing and procurement service called Bills Online. Online retailing for a range of branded products also will be available through the portal.


Consignia is the corporate name of what formerly was The Post Office Group, the equivalent of the U.S. Postal Service in the United Kingdom. Consignia became a government-owned, public limited company in March.
