Conde Nast sells Home Furnishing News

Macfadden Communications Group LLC has acquired Conde Nast's Home Furnishings News, an 80-year old weekly home furnishing publication.

The title covers furniture, housewares, tabletop, floor covering, textiles and major appliance categories.

Macfadden purchased the magazine from Fairchild Publications, a unit of Conde Nast, New York. No purchase price was disclosed, but the sale is effective immediately.

New York-based Macfadden publishes a number of titles in the retail business-to-business area, including Grocery Headquarters, Pet Business, Consumer Products Buyer and the Pet Aisle.

It is also the parent to the Macfadden Performing Arts Group, which includes Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit, and Dance Teacher among others.
