Conde Nast Names Sales Chief for Reunited Wired Brand

Conde Nast Publications named Drew Schutte to the new post of vice president and publishing director of Wired Media.

Mr. Schutte will handle sales and marketing for both Wired magazine and the Wired News Internet service that comprises seven channels. He is based in New York.

Conde Nast last month bought Wired.com, uniting after eight years the print and digital brands of Wired.

Also, Jay Lauf was tapped as publisher of Wired magazine, reporting to Mr. Schutte. And Paul van de Kamp will continue as director of national sales for Wired News.

Conde Nast now comprises 27 consumer magazines, the Parade insert, five destination Web sites, the Conde Nast Media Group and the Shared Services Centers. Advance Publications owns Conde Nast.
