Condé Nast Lines Up Staff for Domino Shopping Magazine

Condé Nast Publications appointed Vicki Wellington associate publisher at Domino, a new home shopping magazine planning a spring debut.

Wellington moves from the same position at Self magazine, where she worked for a decade. She reports to Beth Brenner, vice president and publisher of Domino (www.dominomag.com).

The publisher also named Jill Steinbach Friedson as Domino's associate publisher for marketing. She previously ran her own Pittsburgh-based marketing consultancy for five years. This is her second stint at Condé Nast, having been marketing services director of Allure from 1994 to 1999.

Several other senior appointments were made for Domino.

Lorri D'Amico becomes director of finance and business services, moving from the same position at Self. Gina Gervino is the new luxury, fashion and beauty director. She previously was luxury goods director at Self.

Maureen O'Connell is consumer products director. She previously managed the pharmaceutical category and worked on the beauty account at Self. Christopher Bower moves from This Old House magazine to Domino, retaining his New York account manager title. Also, Vildia Samaniego becomes marketing director for Domino, moving from the same position at Marie Claire magazine.

There were also branch-level additions at Domino.

Sasha Mayoras is Midwest advertising director, a post she held at New York magazine. Clemmy Closson is Western advertising director, a title she had at Self. Michael Ienna is Detroit advertising director, moving from the same position at GQ. And Meghan FitzGerald is Northwest advertising director. She previously was West Coast manager for Reader's Digest.

Domino is the third shopping magazine from Condé Nast, New York. Deborah Needleman is editor-in-chief. The magazine will be modeled on Condé Nast's Lucky shopping title for women and Cargo for men. Both books run photos of products, supported with brief captions and prices.
