CompuCredit Picks TransUnion for Prospecting

TransUnion, Chicago, said yesterday that it reached an agreement to supply CompuCredit with prospecting names for its direct marketing campaigns through its TransUnion Acquisition Services.

CompuCredit is a specialty finance company and marketer of branded credit cards and related financial services. As part of the relationship, TransUnion will leverage its own data, process management and decisioning to select consumers for targeting purposes.

After identifying prospects, TransUnion will facilitate the initial contact by telephone or direct mail and manage response. Profits from sales made are shared between TransUnion and CompuCredit.

TransUnion said this service would reduce acquisition costs.
