CompuCredit Corp., Atlanta, a marketer of Aspire Visa credit cards, said this week that it added 311,000 new customers in the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30.

The company said it uses proprietary analytical technology to identify credit-worthy consumers who might not be reached by other credit card offers. It markets its credit cards through direct mail, telemarketing and the Internet.

The company now has 801,000 originated accounts, a six-fold increase over the number of originated accounts it had at the end of the third quarter a year ago.
