Company Launches 'Leave AOL' Program

Internet service provider US Internet Corp., Minneapolis, has launched a promotion called "888-Leave-AOL" hoping to lure disgruntled customers who are upset over AOL's $2 monthly increase. The promotion includes a waiver of the $24.95 setup fee, guaranteed price protection for two years, one e-mail account, 10 megabytes of storage for personal Web use, "change of address" system, 24 hour toll-free technical support and a copy of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 on CD-ROM.


US Internet costs $19.95 per month and is supplemented by the personal online service Planet Direct.
