Companies Update Software to Support '06 Postal Rate Increase

Firstlogic Inc. has released an upgrade to its PAVE certified commercial mail software systems to support postal rate and statement changes scheduled to take effect Jan. 8.

The software is being delivered early to allow mail houses, direct marketers and printers adequate time to install and test the software and give commercial mailers the benefit of advising their clients how the rates will affect their business and budgets.

Also yesterday, Window Book Inc., Cambridge, MA, said it has updated its DAT-MAIL mailing solution to work with the new rates. It also been implemented with support for the USPS Facility Access and Shipment Tracking system program, which replaces the USPS' Drop Shipment Appointment System.

Mailers used DSAS to schedule drop-ship appointments at USPS facilities. FAST simplifies scheduling and lets customers provide detailed information about their appointments.
