Commerce Bank looks to Epsilon for direct marketing

Kansas City, MO-based Commerce Bank has tapped Epsilon marketing agency Purple@Epsilon for full direct marketing services.

The bank, which has nearly 350 locations in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado, is working to ramp up customer acquisition for its retail business unit. Epsilon has been charged with developing and executing Commerce's retail direct marketing programs, which will focus heavily on direct mail. Epsilon will also provide analytics, modeling and campaign support for the bank, as well as access to its new mover file.

“Succeeding in today's ever-changing marketplace requires focus and expertise in all areas of customer lifecycle marketing,” said Mindy Stimson, manager of consumer banking and retail strategy, Commerce Bank, in a statement. “We chose Epsilon for [its] proven ability to effectively acquire customers and cultivate those relationships to generate maximum profitability for the bank.”

A recent advertising effort for Commerce, launched in June of last year and titles “Surprising Relationships,” ran with TV and radio spots.
