College Broadcasting Adds Entertainment Site to Cable Division

Marketing firm College Broadcasting this week launched its entertainment destination, www.cb.com, aimed at an audience of 15 million college students.

The Web site, according to the Santa Monica, CA-based firm, will feature movies, sports, games, music and news in real time for students with broadband Internet capabilities. College Broadcasting has inked more than 70 agreements with content providers and will sign deals with other firms to add travel, environmental and career information to the site.

College Broadcasting also operates a network of 215 cable television stations, which the company said has reached 1.5 million college students. The firm expects to employ 2,500 representatives stationed at U.S. colleges in the coming years to promote its cable and Internet divisions.
