Hosted web analytics provider Coremetrics said yesterday that Coldwater Creek Inc. has selected it to improve visibility of customer behavior on its website, www.coldwatercreek.com.

Headquartered in Sandpoint, ID, Coldwater Creek Inc. is a specialty retailer of women's apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts.
The knowledge the company will get from analyzing its online behavioral data is expected to improve site design, decrease abandonment and help the company make strategic data-driven decisions on future project goals, Coldwater Creek said.


Coldwater Creek also plans to drive more targeted programs in which the deep analysis from Coremetrics, San Mateo, CA, will become a crucial part of its new program strategies and decision-making.


The company plans to use Coremetrics' visitor path reports to delve into customer post-purchase behaviors. For example, Coldwater Creek Inc. will be able to cite the number of path pages visited and source abandonment to broaden its understanding of site usability and target problem areas to increase conversion.
