Coldwater Creek Closing Idaho Distribution Center
Coldwater Creek Inc. is closing its distribution center in Sandpoint, ID, as part of a consolidation strategy that will concentrate all of the company's shipping activity in its 600,000-square-foot facility in Parkersburg, WV.The consolidation, expected to be complete by the end of March, will result in 120 staff cuts.
The company will cut another 80 positions from its national retail store staff and plans to close two clearance outlets by March 1. Coldwater Creek also will implement a restructuring that will include cutting 20 salaried employees at the company's headquarters.
Also, Donald Robson, executive vice president and chief financial officer, is resigning. Deena Presnell, corporate controller for Coldwater Creek, will assume transitional leadership duties in the finance department until a replacement is named.
