CognitiveDATA Product Restores Some Nixies

CognitiveDATA, Little Rock, AR, announced last week the availability of a nixie restoration version of its IntelliDRESS customer recognition and address quality technology.

The nixie restoration service provides direct mailers an accurate, deliverable address for a significant number of nixie records output from a standard NCOALink process.

A nixie record is a customer who may exist on the National Change of Address mover file, but because of address deviation and/or missing elements does not directly match the mover file and is thus ineligible to receive a forwarding address. A typical file passed through NCOALink will produce one nixie record per every 10 matched mover records.

"Nixie records are very painful to a direct mailer as they represent loyal customers that are essentially saying, "I have moved and have attempted to notify you of my change of address by filling out a USPS mover card, but because of address quality issues, you will not receive my notification and I will become a lost customer within your database -- unable to receive future promotions," said Rodney Ford, president of CognitiveDATA.

Ford said the service is priced on a "per new address" basis.
