Clarke American Checks Chooses Airborne Express

Airborne Express, Seattle, announced this week that check printer Clarke American Checks Inc. selected airborne@home for a substantial portion of its 55 million annual bank check and share draft orders.

Airborne@home is the carrier's business-to-residential delivery service. It combines Airborne's transportation network and the residential delivery shipping abilities of the U.S. Postal Service, providing delivery from virtually any business to any residential destination in the country. Airborne takes advantage of work-sharing discounts the USPS has extended to bulk-rate mailers that presort by ZIP code and deliver parcels directly to sorting centers.

The service allows shipments to be tracked from the factory loading dock to the destination delivery unit through Airborne's tracking system, then to the consumer's mailbox through the USPS' delivery confirmation service.

Clarke American, San Antonio, a subsidiary of Novar PLC, prints checks for more than 4,500 financial institutions. It is the endorsed check printer of 14 bank associations nationwide.
