Citibank Introduces Online Extended Statement Service

Citibank Online, Citigroup's full-service online banking arm, will debut an online banking statement service in mid May. The service will provide consumers with a statement history of up to seven years.

Labeled E-Statements, it will be offered to Citbank's 600,000 online checking, saving, IRA, loan, brokerage and credit card account holders. Citibank online currently provides its users with 90-day statement histories.

"Most other banking sites offer their customers online statement histories between 60 and 90 days," said Steve Hancock, chief marketing officer of Citibank Online, New York.

Citibank will alert its customers of the new service via a combination of e-mail alerts and updates on the Web site, www.citibank.com.
