ChoicePoint releases Strattem Streamline
Strattem Streamline, designed for mid-market players in the financial and insurance industries, provides a configurable, hosted database. The software also offers campaign planning, data management, tracking and analytics.
“The reason we've addressed this market is people with narrower marketing departments still need real, powerful, consolidated marketing capabilities,” explained Scott Watkins, VP database for ChoicePoint. “That's what Streamline brings to them: best-practice methodology and less outsourced capabilities. It's an analytic and strategic marketing database platform at a price point that makes sense for people with lower numbers of staff.”
He added, “Technology has come to a point where you can consolidate a number of functions into a single package and offer real cost advantage. It's like anything else — putting all the functions together makes for a lower cost than having those things separate.”
Watkins cited the growing trend of customer control and demands for ease of use as other reasons for offering Streamline.
“Yes people want to have control,” he noted, “so our view became, ‘how do we try to find what's a great tech platform for us and that's combining software and hardware in best approach.' Streamline is an analytical process rather than an analytical project, so it's an opportunity for people not in marketing databases to get deeper and closer to results, to execute better analytics and better tactics.”
To present a united product front, ChoicePoint has re-branded its entire database marketing products under the Strattem brand name. These products include Strattem Enterprise — a fully customizable database marketing program — and its out-of-box sister, Strattem Streamline. DirectLink, a campaign automation tool, has also moved under the Strattem aegis.
