Chico's Sales Rise 41.7%
Chico's FAS Inc., Fort Myers, FL, said yesterday that June sales in the five weeks ended July 5 skyrocketed 41.7 percent to $65.9 million from $46.5 million posted in the previous year's five-week period ended July 6, 2002.Comparable-store sales for company-owned stores rose 16.5 percent in the five weeks ended July 5 versus the comparable period last year.
For the 22 weeks ended July 5, total sales ballooned 33.4 percent to $294.7 million from $221 million in the prior year's 22-week period ended July 6, 2002.
Comparable-store sales for company-owned stores increased 10.4 percent in the 22-week period versus the comparable period a year ago.
