Chico's Sales Are Strong in Q3
Chico's FAS Inc., Fort Myers, FL, reported yesterday that net sales for the third quarter ended Oct. 30 jumped 28.1 percent compared with the year-ago period.The multichannel women's clothing retailer's sales totaled $270 million for the quarter. Same-store sales increased 6.1 percent. Catalog and Internet sales totaled $7 million.
During the third quarter, Chico's completed the launch of 10 intimate apparel Soma by Chico's concept test stores.
For the nine months ended Oct. 30, Chico's net sales reached $781 million, a 41.3 percent gain over the same period last year. Same-store sales rose 13 percent. Catalog and Internet sales totaled $19 million.
