Chicago 2016 names Ogilvy Chicago digital AOR

Chicago 2016, the exploratory committee seeking to host the 2016 Olympic Games in Chicago, has named Ogilvy Chicago as its digital agency of record.

Ogilvy Chicago, which includes Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and OgilvyOne, will be a strategic partner in redeveloping Chicago 2016's digital presence.

“It is every marketer's dream to be part of such a big vision that has the opportunity to change a city's landscape for generations to come,” said Jack Rooney, president of Ogilvy Chicago and North American CEO of OgilvyAction, in a statement.

Other cities competing to host the 2016 Olympic Games include Baku, Azerbaijan; Doha, Qatar; Madrid, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Tokyo, Japan.
