Charles Ping Appointed DMA (UK) Chairman

The board of the Direct Marketing Association (UK) Ltd. appointed Charles Ping chairman following its meeting Jan. 12.


Ping, head of CRM at Guardian Newspapers Ltd., takes over from David Coupe, managing director of Experian's Marketing Services division, who stepped down following his two-year term as chair.


Ping, who has worked with Coupe for the past two years as deputy chairman, will be supported by Rosemary Smith, managing director of RSA Direct and chairman of the DMA's Governance Committee. She has been elected as the new deputy chairman.


Ping joined Guardian Newspapers Ltd. in 1993.
