ChannelAdvisor Gets $5.7M in Funding

In a rare cash infusion in these tight financial times, fixed-price and auctions software provider ChannelAdvisor Corp. has received $5.7 million in additional funding.


Investors in the Research Triangle Park, NC, company include Boston-based Genesis Venture Partners, Southern Capitol Ventures, Tri-state Investment Group, The Atlantis Group and eBay Inc.


ChannelAdvisor offers services and technology that allow manufacturers and retailers to sell in the auction areas of Amazon.com, eBay, Yahoo and uBid.


Clients in the computer and peripherals category include Ingram Micro, IBM Corp., Iomega and Crucial Technologies.


Among those who use ChannelAdvisor's services to sell on eBay are Handspring, Eastman Kodak Co., Harman Audio, Econozone, Creative Labs, Omaha Steaks, Bargain Builder, Restaurant.com, WineTasting.com, AKA Gourmet and New Vine Logistics.
