Cenveo Standardizes With EFI

Commercial print services provider Cenveo said yesterday that it chose the Hagen OA system from EFI -- a digital imaging and print management technology company for commercial and enterprise printing -- as its standard print management system.

Hagen OA will be used in Cenveo's 38 commercial print facilities, Cenveo said. Financial terms were not disclosed.

EFI's system will serve as a common internal operating platform and ensure consistency in print management and work quality, Cenveo said. Cenveo has installed the system in 10 facilities and expects to install the rest this year and early 2006.

In some Cenveo facilities, the Hagen system has been in use since 1998. Cenveo began looking at ways to standardize business practices in 2002, and decided to implement the Hagen system from a centralized database.

In addition to commercial printing, design and fulfillment, Cenveo, Englewood, CO, makes envelopes and printed office products. It has 10,000 employees nationwide at 80 locations.
