Celtics Staff Diagrams Ticket Sales With Monitoring Tool

Data analytics technology from StratBridge is helping the Boston Celtics increase attendance and revenue for home games, the Cambridge, MA, company said yesterday.

The StratBridge.net technology lets sales executives for the National Basketball Association team monitor consumer demand through a real-time display of sold and available seating, letting them develop promotions and sales strategies on the fly to fill seats.

A 40-inch plasma screen television in the Celtics sales center displays an image of the arena's seating chart with color blocks indicating up-to-the-minute availability and revenue for home games throughout the season. Sales execs can access the information on their desktops to study buying trends, identify sections that aren't selling and pinpoint targeted promotions.

The system is built on Microsoft's .NET Web services platform.
